Issues - Health and Human Services

• Create a health system that provides greater support and dollars to the District Hospitals and the Community Clinics

• Ensure that Sutter is held accountable for the full maintenance of the “Health Access” contract they signed with the County ten years ago

• Ensure that all Sonoma County residents have a family physician

• Create a Crisis Intervention Mental Health Team to be available to all law enforcement 24/7

• Ensure the establishment of a Family Social Justice Center for wraparound services for abuse victims

• Support community-wide health initiatives which are now being established by the Health By Design and Health Action Committee

• Provide wraparound mental health and substance abuse services and decrease jail beds
